This event is open to any artist who paints using Plein air techniques (meaning, all work must be completed outdoors in natural elements and NOT in a studio or indoor spaces.), in all fine art painting mediums (oils, acrylics, gouaches, watercolors, pastels or pencils). Artists must paint on location within the City of Gautier during the official painting period March 28, 2020 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. No use of photography, photographs, photographic or computer equipment is allowed for painting plein air competition entries.

This year, the City has partnered with Art Space 86, La Côte en Plein Air, and Walter Anderson Museum of Art as part of the painting across the coast to be held Saturday, March 28 – Friday, April 3.

We’re encouraging all artists to paint at City Park on March 28th 9am – 12 noon with our host artist Jerrod Partridge in conjunction with La Côte en Plein Air- painting across the coast. As the first location for the painting across the coast event, we’re encouraging spectators to come out and watch as the artist capture the beauty of Gautier at the new nature fitness trail, which is nestled under the shade of beautiful mature oaks and magnolias with a breathtaking view of the bayou!

Join us for the Paint the Town Plein Air Art Competition, March 28th!
